Current Projects
The serene tropical surroundings of South Goa makes open cross-ventilation essential, but evening mosquitoes and seasonal insects often force balcony and patio doors shut. Our studio manufactures precision-fitted mosquito nets for windows, sliding mosquito nets for doors, and barrier-free pleated balcony screens custom-built for Coastal residents in Siridao—delivering 100% natural airflow with zero pest intrusion.
“Can mosquito nets be fitted on large sliding balcony doors and windows in Siridao?”
Yes, our pleated mosquito net systems and heavy-duty sliding nets for windows and doors are custom-engineered for wide balconies, French doors, and casement windows across Siridao. They glide effortlessly and feature 100% rust-proof SS 304 mesh.
Local notes · Tiswadi taluka
Small, uneven and close to the sea: that describes most windows in Siridao, and each point affects the net. Because the openings in the old village houses differ one from the next, every net has to be sized to the one window it will serve, often as a folding pleated screen that leaves the wooden shutters free. Salt decides the materials: aluminium frames with a powder coat, screws of stainless steel, and for the mesh either fibreglass, polyester or 304-grade stainless, never plain steel, which rusts through. The estuary and the damp ground behind the shore bring mosquitoes at dusk, so screen the ventilators too. An occasional rinse with tap water keeps salt and grit out of the sliders.
Siridao is a small fishing village on the Zuari estuary, below the plateau of Bambolim. It has a pebbly beach, a chapel on the headland, and a feast in spring that draws people from across Goa.
Homes are traditional village houses of the fishing community, close together along the shore, with a few newer houses and villas on the slope behind.
The village faces the open estuary. Salt, humidity and wind off the water affect every house, and metal rusts quickly.
Ordinary steel mesh and screws rust quickly by the sea. Use powder-coated aluminium frames with polyester or fibreglass mesh, or stainless steel 304 mesh, and stainless fixings. Rinse the tracks with fresh water now and then to clear salt and sand.
Old windows have shutters and grilles, and nothing is square. Each net is made to the measured opening and fixed on the side that leaves the shutters free, usually as an openable or pleated panel.
Siridao is about thirty-five minutes from the showroom, down from the highway near the Zuari bridge. We measure free of charge.
