The sofa in an Arpora holiday flat does more work than one in a family home. Guests come in from the pool in wet swimwear, sit with sun cream on their skin, and often sleep on it. Order firm foam that will not hollow out, and either zip-off washable covers with a second set in the cupboard or a wipe-clean leatherette. A sofa bed gives a two-bedroom flat an extra sleeping place. On the hillside, large windows put strong sun on the seating, so a fade-resistant fabric is the better buy for villas. When several flats are furnished together, the same model in each means covers and cushions are interchangeable.
Arpora lies just inland of Baga, on and below a hill. It is known for its Saturday night market and for the many holiday apartment complexes and villas built on the hillside, looking over the fields and salt pans towards the sea.
Arpora has a large number of holiday apartments in gated complexes with pools, bought by investors and let to visitors, along with hillside villas. Furnishing is done to a letting standard, often for several flats at a time.
The hill catches wind and gives wide views; the low ground near the Baga river is humid. Salt is moderate, a kilometre or two from the sea.
Homes on high ground are airy, and fabrics dry well, but strong sun through large windows fades upholstery. Choose solution-dyed or fade-resistant fabric for a sofa that sits in a sunny window.
Sofas in a let property should have removable, washable covers or a wipe-clean fabric, firm foam that will not sag, and a spare set of covers. A sofa bed adds a sleeping place without another room.
Arpora is about an hour from the showroom. We measure free of charge and visit with Baga, Calangute and Parra.
Yes. We measure each flat, quote for all, and fit them in sequence so each is out of use for the shortest time.
Sunscreen blinds or sheers for the view, with blackout in bedrooms, fixed firmly because the hill is windy.
