Custom Sofas in Calangute

Think of a Calangute sofa as equipment. In a holiday flat or a hotel lobby it is sat on in wet swimwear, sprinkled with sand and dragged about by cleaners, and the salt air attacks whatever metal is inside it. So build it for that: a seasoned hardwood frame, webbing in place of steel springs, firm foam that will not sag, and loose covers in a tight synthetic or outdoor-grade fabric that zip off for washing. A second set of covers lets a room be let while the first set dries. Existing sofas with sound frames can be re-covered in batches. Flats need the stairwell measured, and a sofa bed adds a sleeping place.

• Holiday flats let by the night: a sofa bed in a mid-tone performance weave, with a spare set of washable covers kept in the store.
• Hotel lobbies and lounges: firm, upright sofas in wipe-clean leatherette on hardwood frames, with no exposed steel legs to rust.
• Family homes behind the main road: the existing sofa reupholstered in a close synthetic weave that does not hold the damp.
