Cavelossim and its homes
Cavelossim lies on the narrow strip of land between the Sal river and the sea, south of Varca. The village has a white-sand beach, several large resorts, a river frontage with fishing boats, and a main street of shops and restaurants serving visitors.
Property here is dominated by resorts, hotels and holiday apartments, with village houses along the river side. Hospitality work is the larger share: guest-room curtains, restaurant blinds, and outdoor seating.
With the sea on one side and the river on the other, Cavelossim is humid all year and salty on the beach side. Fittings must be rust-proof and fabrics quick to dry.
