Bainguinim and its homes
Bainguinim is a village next to Old Goa, on the higher ground above the Mandovi. It has seen new housing projects and plotted developments in recent years, as families look for homes within reach of Panjim.
Most homes are new: flats in recent complexes and independent houses on plots. They are handed over bare, so owners start from curtain tracks and nets.
The higher ground is open to sun and wind and drier than the riverside. Monsoon rain is heavy, as everywhere in Tiswadi.
Visiting Bainguinim
Bainguinim is about forty-five minutes from the showroom. We measure free of charge together with Old Goa.
Our new home in Bainguinim has no curtain fittings at all. Can you do everything?
Yes. We fix the tracks or rods, make the curtains or blinds and hang them, and can fit mosquito nets on the same visit.
Should tracks go on the wall or the ceiling?
The ceiling, where there is a slab above the window. It makes the room look taller and lets curtains clear an air conditioner.
