The homeowners of a newly restored 4BHK Portuguese villa in Assagao wanted to dress their 12-foot-tall archway French windows. They needed soft, glare-diffused daytime sunlight to showcase vintage teak wood furniture, coupled with 100% total room blackout and acoustic dampening for peaceful night-time sleep.
The 12-foot ceiling clearance had historic lime-plaster wall surfaces that could not support heavy concentrated point loads. In addition, intense western afternoon sun was causing heat buildup through the expansive glass panes, threatening antique wooden consoles and upholstery fabrics.
Hitech installed custom ceiling-mounted dual slimline ripplefold tracks finished in architectural white. For daytime, we tailored ethereal Belgian open-weave linen sheers in ivory that filter 85% of UV harshness while preserving garden views. For the blackout layer, we crafted triple-weave acoustic blackout drapes in deep sage green with thermal backing, gliding effortlessly on low-friction nylon runners.
The villa achieved effortless light modulation: ethereal morning glow through sheer linen and complete pitch-black isolation at night. Ambient room temperature dropped by 4°C during peak afternoon heat, reducing AC energy expenditure.
Material grades, mechanical components, and environmental ratings.
“The drape, quality of the Belgian linen, and flawless ceiling-track installation completely transformed our villa in Assagao. Highest quality work in Goa.”
